with Ildi Salgado & the Piedmont Choirs

A comprehensive workshop to improve sight-reading and inner hearing skills, along with the ability to quickly orient to relative pitch. Ildi Salgado, with the Piedmont Choirs, will demonstrate how to use solfège for solid intonation in contemporary literature for youth choirs.

Ildi Salgado has taught solfege, conducting and chamber singers in the HNU Kodály Program since 2001. She served as guest conductor of the 2002 and 2005 HNU Children’s Choral Festival. Ildi holds a Diploma in Choral Conducting and Teacher Training from the Liszt Academy in Budapest, Hungary.
