with Pamela Wood Saturday, September 27, 2008, 9:30 am - 3:00 pm Ellen Driscoll Playhouse 325 Highland Ave, Piedmont, CA 94611 This workshop will provide opportunities to learn and practice singing games and African-American folk literature, sight-sing choral music by African Americans, and consider the art song repertoire of African-American composers. Particular attention will be given to traditional and politically correct performance practice. Come prepared to "put your hands on your hips and let your backbone slip"!
